Getting there

Walking

From the main entrance of the Gibraltar Nature Reserve near the cable car station, follow the well-marked trails towards the Upper Rock area. The walk to the Windsor Suspension Bridge takes approximately 20-30 minutes. Keep an eye out for signs indicating the way to the bridge.

Public Transport

Take a local bus from the Gibraltar Harbour area towards 'Upper Rock' or 'The Apes'. Get off at the bus stop closest to the entrance to the Upper Rock Nature Reserve. From there, follow the pedestrian path leading to the Windsor Suspension Bridge, which is well signposted. Bus fares are typically around £1.50.

Car

From the Gibraltar Harbour area, head towards Main Street and follow signs for the 'Upper Rock'. Continue onto Line Wall Road and look for signs indicating the Windsor Suspension Bridge. There is limited parking near the entrance to the Gibraltar Nature Reserve. Parking fees may apply.

The Windsor Suspension Bridge offers visitors a unique and exhilarating experience high above the ground in Gibraltar's Upper Rock Nature Reserve. Inaugurated in June 2016, the 71-meter bridge spans a 50-meter deep gorge, connecting two batteries along the Royal Anglian Way.Constructed by Bovis Koala, a Gibraltar-based contractor, in collaboration with Muntanya, a Spanish contractor specializing in suspension bridges, the bridge's major components were assembled in Spain and transported to Gibraltar. The bridge was designed to enhance the visitor experience within the Upper Rock Nature Reserve, providing access to scenic trails and historical sites.Walking across the bridge, visitors can enjoy panoramic views of the Mediterranean Sea, the Bay of Gibraltar, and the Spanish coastline. The bridge gently sways, adding a touch of adventure to the experience. The Windsor Suspension Bridge has quickly become a popular attraction, appealing to adventure-seekers, nature lovers, and history buffs alike. It symbolizes Gibraltar's blend of ancient and modern, nature and history.Visitors can access the bridge via the Upper Rock Nature Reserve.
