    If you are coming from the Upper Town area, start at the junction of Devil's Gap Road and Baca's Passage. Follow the Devil's Gap Footpath in a southerly direction, which includes a flight of steps that connect to Green Lane. Continue on Green Lane, which leads directly to Devil's Gap Battery. The walk is moderately steep and takes approximately 30 minutes.

    From the city center, take bus number 2 or 3 towards the Upper Rock Nature Reserve. Get off at the stop closest to the nature reserve entrance. From there, follow the signs for 'Devil's Gap Battery' and walk up Green Lane. The walk to the battery from the bus stop is approximately 20 minutes and is mostly uphill. A single bus journey typically costs around £2.

    If driving, navigate to the Upper Rock Nature Reserve. From the entrance of the reserve, follow the main road towards the city center and look for signs for 'Devil's Gap Battery' or 'Green Lane'. Parking is limited near the battery, consider parking at the nearby Upper Rock Nature Reserve car park and walking the remaining 15 minutes. Parking fees at Devil's Tower Road Car Park are £55 monthly.
