Walking
If you are in the center of Alexandroupoli, start at the main square (Plateia Dimokratias). From there, head southeast on Leoforos Dimokratias towards the coast. Continue straight until you reach the waterfront promenade (Paralia). Follow the promenade along the coast, enjoying the view of the sea. After about 1.5 km, you will reach the ferry terminal. There, you can catch a ferry to Samothraki. Once you arrive at the port of Samothraki, follow the signs that lead to Paleopoli, which is approximately a 15-minute walk from the port.
Public Transport
From the central bus station (Ktel) in Alexandroupoli, take a local bus heading towards Kamariotissa, which is the main port town on Samothraki. The bus will take approximately 1 hour to reach the port. Upon arrival at Kamariotissa, find the ferry service that takes you to Paleopoli. The ferry rides take about 30 minutes. After disembarking at Paleopoli, you will be right at the location.
Taxi
If you prefer a quicker option, you can take a taxi from the center of Alexandroupoli directly to the ferry terminal. The journey should take around 10 minutes. Once at the ferry terminal, purchase your ticket for the ferry to Samothraki. After about a 30-minute ferry ride, you will arrive at Kamariotissa. From there, you can take another taxi or walk to Paleopoli, which is about a 15-minute walk.
