Paralia Aponisos: A Serene Beach Escape

Getting There

• Ferry

  To reach Paralia Aponisos, first make your way to the Piraeus Port in Athens. You can take the metro Line 1 (Green Line) from central Athens to the 'Piraeus' station. Once you arrive at Piraeus, follow the signs to the ferry terminal. Look for the ticket booths and purchase a ticket for Angistri Island. Ferries to Angistri operate frequently, so check the schedule for the next departure (usually every hour). The ferry ride takes approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive at Angistri, disembark and head towards the coastal road; Paralia Aponisos is a short walk from the ferry terminal, approximately 10-15 minutes along the seaside.

• Bus

  If you prefer to travel by bus, you can take the KTEL bus from the 'Kifissos Bus Station' in Athens. To get there, take the metro Line 1 (Green Line) to 'Larissa Station' and then walk to the KTEL bus station (about 10 minutes). Purchase a ticket to Angistri. The bus will take you to the port where you can catch a ferry to Angistri. The bus ride takes about 1.5 hours, and then follow the ferry instructions as above to reach Paralia Aponisos.

• Walking

  Once you are on Angistri Island, you can easily walk to Paralia Aponisos from the ferry terminal. Head south along the coastal path and follow the signs to Paralia Aponisos. The beach is about a 15-minute walk from the ferry terminal, and the route is scenic, offering beautiful views of the sea.
