Ferry
From Athens, head to the Piraeus Port, which is easily accessible via the Metro. Take Metro Line 1 (Green Line) from Monastiraki or Omonia stations towards Kifisia, and get off at the Piraeus station. Once you arrive at Piraeus Port, look for the ticket booths for ferries. Purchase a ticket for a ferry heading to Salamis Island. The ferry ride typically takes around 30 minutes. Upon arrival at Salamis Island, you will find yourself in the main port area, from where you can explore the island.
Public Bus
From central Athens, you can take a bus to the western suburbs, specifically to the town of Kanakia on Salamis Island. Head to the Kifissos Bus Station (you can reach it by taking Metro Line 1 to Omonia and then a short taxi ride). At Kifissos, buy a ticket for a bus heading towards Agia Marina. The bus will take you to the ferry terminal, where you can catch a ferry to Salamis Island. The bus journey may take around 1 hour, followed by a short ferry ride.
