Getting there

Walking

Uruguay Square is located at Michalakopoulou 25, Athina 115 28. From the Athens city center, head towards Vasilissis Sofias Avenue. Continue onto Michalakopoulou Street. The square will be on your right after you pass the intersection with Kifisias Avenue. Walking from Megaro Moussikis Metro Station will take approximately 15 minutes.

Public Transport

The closest metro station to Uruguay Square is Ambelokipi. Take the Athens Metro Line 3 (Blue Line) to Megaro Moussikis station, then transfer to Line 1 (Green Line) towards Kifisia and alight at Ambelokipi station. From the station, it's a 10-minute walk to Uruguay Square. Exit the station and head southeast on Kifisias Avenue, then turn right onto Michalakopoulou Street. A single metro ticket costs €1.40 and is valid for 90 minutes.

Taxi

Taxis are readily available throughout Athens. You can hail a taxi from the street or use a ride-hailing app such as Uber or FreeNow. The average taxi fare within the city center is around €8. There is a base fare of €1.80, and a charge of €0.90/km during the day (05:00 to 24:00). Be sure the driver sets the meter to the base fare of €1.80 at the beginning of the journey.
