Day Trip to Lake Kerkini Greece Nature and Culture from Sofia
This is a unusually good natural and cultural tour
This is a special tour to Greece Lake Kerkini. We took a long drive to the lake, which is an important bird site. Our target is to watch the Damaltian Pelican and other birds, and the lake is an easy site able to get close to the bird. The guide also brought us to a viewpoint able to watch a number of birds through his telescope. The boat trip brought us to watch Greater Flamingo. With the help of binoculars, the guide provided, it is possible to see the bright red color. We also visited a buffalo farm, which is very different from other buffalo farm in Europe. This is a unusual natural and cultural tour, and worth to go, especially for nature lovers.

Day Trip to Lake Kerkini From Thessaloniki
Exceptional
Fantastic trip from start to finish. Tassos tailored our trip to our interest and went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable day. He was very knowledgeable of Greece and the area. The monastery was a bonus as we didn’t know this was included and we were made to feel very welcome. Fantastic views of Lake Kerkini too. We were taken for lunch in a unique forest location with local specialties on the menu, which included buffalo and trout - both delicious. The boat trip was exceptional. Our guide Nic was an expert on birds on the lake and ensured that we were able to get the best possible photos. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. A big thankyou to Tassos for finding the bee-eaters just before we returned back. Truely fantastic day.
