Getting there

Bus

From Chania's central bus station (Ktel), take the bus towards Platanias. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Make sure to ask the driver to let you know when you reach the Gerani stop. Once you get off the bus, walk towards the beach, which is approximately a 5-minute walk from the bus stop.

Taxi

If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from anywhere in Chania. Simply tell the driver you want to go to Gerani Beach. The taxi ride will take around 20 minutes, depending on traffic.

Walking

If you're staying near the beach area, you can walk to Gerani Beach. Start from the center of Chania, head towards the waterfront, and follow the coast westward. The walk is approximately 6 kilometers (about 1.5 hours) along the scenic coastline, passing through various beaches and cafes.

Bicycle Rental

For a more active option, consider renting a bicycle. There are several rental shops in Chania. Once you have your bike, head west along the coast towards Gerani. The ride is about 6 kilometers and offers beautiful sea views along the way.
