Nasos was very knowledgeable and proud to share about the history of Crete during our 9.5 hours with him. The trip included a lot of driving but it was broken up nicely with stops to see The Olive Tree, Anoskeli winery, lunch at the entrance to Samaria Gorge, and finally Manousakis winery. The views of the mountains were incredible. We appreciated very much that we were picked up from our hotel even though it was outside the Old Town area. Great tour if you’re looking for more than just a winery day and want to learn a thing or two!

White Mountains Jeep Safari & Botanical Gardens

Recommended off-road adventure

Very beautiful, varied private tour through the White Mountains. Our guide (unfortunately forgot his name; not Jacob) spoke very good German and was able to enrich us with extensive knowledge about Crete, its history, tradition, and vegetation. The drive was a real off-road adventure, but our guide drove us safely. The view from the mountain hut was breathtaking and the botanical garden was beautifully laid out. The food with the products grown on-site was very tasty.

Tour with Yannis ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The all-day trip/excursion with Yannis (with the added bonus and his wife, Vavara), comes highly recommended. There were various stops before the beaches that allowed us to experience and taste bits of the countryside. The beaches were beautiful! Kedrodasos was beautiful and a more quiet beach to enjoy. The meal was delicious and some of our favorite food while in Crete. Yannis and Varvara were so kind, hands-on, accommodating, and they made sure that we were always satisfied and okay. We highly suggest this day trip exploring this part of the breathtaking island with a proud Cretan couple, Yannis and Vavara, who take delight in showing guests the beauty of Crete.
