Bus
From Heraklion, go to the central bus station (KTEL) located at 4, 25th August Street. Take a bus to Knossos; the journey takes about 30 minutes. Buses run frequently, approximately every 20-30 minutes. Once you arrive at the bus stop in Knossos, the entrance to the Palace of Knossos is just a short walk away, approximately 15 minutes on foot. Follow the signs towards the archaeological site.
Taxi
If you're in Heraklion and prefer a quicker option, you can take a taxi directly to the Palace of Knossos. Taxis are readily available throughout the city. The ride will take about 20 minutes, depending on traffic. Make sure to tell the driver 'Palace of Knossos' or show them the address: Knossos 714 09.
Walking Tour
If you're staying close to Heraklion, you can opt for a walking tour to Knossos. Start walking from the center of Heraklion, heading southeast towards Knossos. The total distance is approximately 5 km (about 1-1.5 hours on foot). Follow the main road signs that lead to Knossos; it’s a pleasant walk through the Cretan landscape.
