Private Gortys, Phaistos & Matala Daytrip from Heraklion
A great way to visit two of Crete's prime archaeological sites
This was a great trip. The opportunity to visit Gortyn and Phaistos privately was the highlight of our trip to Crete. Being able to take our time at the sites and to visit when they were very quiet (in contrast to our visit to Knossos), was very special. Unfortunately Agia Triada was closed on the day of our trip, but that was our mistake. Our driver, Alexis, was all we could have hoped for: picked up promptly; excellent vehicle excellently driven; attentive to our plans; cheerful. All this even though it was a day when the temperature reached over 41 degrees. Matala proved a pleasant contrast after the archaeology. Given we didn't have access to a vehicle of our own, I can't think of a better way of visiting these extraordinary places.

Small Group Tour to Archaeological Sites of Gortyna and Phaistos
A must-do.
A VERY pleasant day! A driver and a guide for the two of us is luxury... The minibus was perfect. Phaestos and Gorthyne are truly worth the trip; Matala is lovely. Our guide was perfect. The driver was as well. The tour was conducted in English as planned, but with explanations in French if necessary. Thanks to prior research (books and Chat GPT), we already knew quite a bit... Fortunately, our guide, who is trained as an archaeologist, was able to adapt and made both visits really interesting. Quite expensive, after adding the entrance fees and tips...

Full Day Private Tour in Heraklion Archaeological Sites
Once in a lifetime experience !
What a beautiful experience! Spyros was so welcoming and felt like family the moment we met him. Our tour was filled with so much history, culture, and unique moments. Spyros was so well versed of the history of Crete and truly packed our day with traditional experiences. Everything from Knossos, Olive Oil tour, the wind mills, the beautiful mountain view’s, small villages in the mountains , strawberry fields, yogurt and cheese history, drinking wine, getting a chance to make our own pottery, it was truly the best day!
