If you're traveling by car, start from Naxos Town (Chora). Head northeast on the main road (Epar.Od. Naxou - Apiranthou) towards Apiranthos. After approximately 8 km, you will see signs for Melanes. Turn left onto the road leading to Melanes, and follow it for about 3 km. The village of Melanes is well signposted, and you can park your car in the village center.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a bus from Naxos Town to Melanes. The bus station is located near the port. Look for the bus with a destination sign reading 'Melanes'. The journey takes about 20 minutes and costs approximately €2.50. Buses run regularly, but it's good to check the schedule in advance, especially during off-peak seasons.

If you are staying nearby, walking to Melanes is a beautiful option. From Naxos Town, you can take the scenic route through the countryside. It takes about 1.5 to 2 hours on foot, following the Epar.Od. Naxou - Apiranthou until you reach the village. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water, as the path can be uneven and exposed.
