Car
If you're driving from Naxos Town, head southeast on the main road towards Pyrgos. Follow the signs for 'Pyrgos' and continue for about 7 km. As you approach Pyrgos, look for the signs directing you to Pyrgos Sanoudos-Kastro. The castle is located just above the village, and you may need to park in the designated area near the village entrance. The walk to the castle involves a short hike uphill.
Public Transportation
From Naxos Town, take a local bus towards Pyrgos. Buses run regularly throughout the day (check the local schedule for times). The journey takes approximately 20 minutes. Once you arrive in Pyrgos, you will need to walk uphill to reach Pyrgos Sanoudos-Kastro. Follow the path leading up from the village; the castle is visible from below and is approximately a 15-minute walk.
Taxi
You can also opt for a taxi from Naxos Town to Pyrgos. The taxi ride will take around 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic. Make sure to negotiate the fare before starting the journey, as taxis in the area may not have a meter. Expect to pay around 15-20 euros for a one-way trip. Once dropped off in the village, follow the signs to hike up to Pyrgos Sanoudos-Kastro.
