The journey takes approximately 45 minutes. Once you arrive in Monodendri, disembark at the main bus stop. From there, follow the signs directing you to Vikos Gorge, which is about a 15-minute walk. Take the path leading from the bus stop towards the village, and you will see signs directing you to the gorge.

Walking

If you are already in Monodendri after taking public transport, navigate from the village center. Start at the central square and look for the signs that lead towards the Vikos Gorge. The trail is well-marked, and you will pass by local shops and cafes. The walk is scenic and takes about 15 minutes, leading you directly to the gorge entrance.

Taxi

If you prefer to take a taxi from Ioannina to Vikos Gorge, you can find taxis at various points in the city center. Ensure to negotiate the fare before starting your trip, as it may vary. The drive will take around 30 minutes, and the driver will take you directly to the gorge entrance.
