Getting there

Walking

If you are starting from the center of Ioannina, walk towards the waterfront along Averof Street. After reaching the lake, continue along the waterfront until you reach the end of the promenade. From there, follow the signs towards Vradeto. You'll pass by several local shops and cafes. As you walk, you can also ask locals for directions to Vradeto Village. Once you are in Vradeto Village, look for signs leading to the Vradeto Steps. The steps are located at the edge of the village, and you will have to walk a bit uphill to reach them.

Public Transport

From the central bus station in Ioannina, take a local bus heading towards the villages of Zagori. Inform the bus driver that you are going to Vradeto. The bus will drop you off at the nearest point to Vradeto Village. From there, you will need to walk approximately 10-15 minutes along the main path leading into the village. Look for signs that direct you to the Vradeto Steps as you enter the village. Ensure to check the bus schedule ahead of time for return trips.

Bicycle

Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Ioannina. Start cycling towards the Vradeto area by following the main road out of the city. You will cycle past the beautiful landscapes and local farms. Once you reach Vradeto Village, park your bicycle at the designated area and walk towards the Vradeto Steps. Note that the last stretch might be steep, so be prepared for a bit of uphill walking.
