From the city center of Heraklion, head to the main bus station located at 1866 Square. Look for the KTEL buses that go to Knossos. Purchase a ticket for the Knossos route, which is usually marked clearly. Buses run frequently, approximately every 20-30 minutes. After boarding, stay on the bus for about 20 minutes, and get off at the stop marked 'Knossos.' Follow the signs to the entrance of the palace, which is a short walk from the bus stop.

Walking
If you're already near the Archaeological Museum of Heraklion, you can walk to Knossos Palace. Start by heading east on 28th October Street, then turn right onto K. Kourakou Street. Continue straight until you reach the junction with Knossos Avenue. Turn left onto Knossos Avenue, and walk straight for about 2 km. You will see signs guiding you to Knossos Palace. The walk takes approximately 30-40 minutes, so wear comfortable shoes.

If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from anywhere in Heraklion. Simply flag down a taxi or call a local taxi service. Inform the driver that you want to go to the Knossos Palace. The ride will take about 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic. Make sure to confirm the fare before you start the journey, or ask the driver to use the meter.
