The buses run regularly throughout the day. Once you arrive at the Messene bus stop, exit the bus and walk about 1 kilometer to the site. Follow the signs pointing towards the archaeological site of Messene, and you will see it ahead.

If you prefer to cycle, you can rent a bicycle in Kalamata. Start from the central square (Plateia 23is Martiou) and head southwest towards the coastal road. Follow the coastal road until you reach the turnoff for Messene. The route is approximately 10 km and is mostly flat, making it a pleasant ride. Keep an eye out for signs directing you to Messene, and enjoy the scenic views along the way.

If you're feeling adventurous and want to walk, you can start from the center of Kalamata. Head southwest on the main road (Agiou Nikolaou Street) until you reach the coastal promenade. Follow the promenade until you find the road leading towards Messene. It's a long walk of about 10 kilometers, so be sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water.
