To reach Myrtos Cave by car, start from Argostoli, the capital of Kefalonia. Head north on the E60 road towards Sami. After approximately 25 kilometers, you will reach the town of Sami. Continue driving towards the northwest, following signs to Myrtos Beach. As you approach Myrtos Beach, look for the signs directing you to Myrtos Cave. There is a parking area near the beach, and from there, you can walk to the entrance of the cave. The drive offers stunning views of the coastline and the surrounding landscape.
Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, take a KTEL bus from Argostoli to Sami. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Upon arriving in Sami, you can catch a local taxi or, if you're feeling adventurous, rent a bicycle to get to Myrtos Beach. The ride from Sami to Myrtos Beach is approximately 10 kilometers and takes around 20-30 minutes by bike. Once you reach Myrtos Beach, you can easily walk to Myrtos Cave.
