    The primary way to reach Nisyros is by ferry. Ferries connect Nisyros to Piraeus (Athens), as well as neighboring islands like Kos, Rhodes, and Tilos. From Kos: Ferries depart from Kardamena or Kos Town. The ferry trip takes approximately 1 hour. Ferry tickets range from €7.50 to €17.00. From Rhodes: The ferry trip takes approximately 2.5 hours. From Tilos: The ferry trip takes approximately 40 minutes. Ferry tickets range from €6.50 to €19.00. Once you arrive at the port of Mandraki, you can take a local bus, taxi, or rental car to explore the island.

    Getting around Nisyros is relatively straightforward. The island has a local bus service that connects Mandraki with other villages, including Loutra, Pali, Emporios and Nikia. However, the bus schedule may be limited. Taxis are available at the port of Mandraki and in the main villages. Renting a car or motorbike is a popular option for exploring the island at your own pace. Car rentals are available near the port. Keep in mind that there is essentially only one main road on the island.
