Plaka Forest, a hidden gem on the island of Kos, offers a tranquil escape into nature. Located near Antimachia, about 26 km from Kos Town, this pine-covered forest is renowned for its unique inhabitants: dozens of peacocks that roam freely. These colorful birds are accustomed to humans, often approaching visitors in search of food, creating memorable interactions.The forest provides a cool and shaded retreat, especially welcome during the hot summer months. Visitors can wander along the shadowy forest paths, relax on scattered benches, and enjoy the peaceful sounds of nature.
