Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are in the center of Lamia, head towards the main square (Plateia Eleftherias). From there, take the street named 25 Martiou and continue straight. After about 500 meters, you will reach the intersection with Epar.Od. Thivas - Thermopilon. Turn left onto this road. Continue walking for approximately 2 kilometers, and you will see the Historical Information Center for Thermopylae on your right-hand side. Look for the entrance with a sign indicating the museum.

    From the central bus station in Lamia, look for buses heading towards Thermopylae or nearby villages. Board the bus that has 'Thermopylae' as one of its stops. The bus ride should take around 15-20 minutes. Once you arrive at the stop closest to the Historical Information Center, disembark and walk about 500 meters along Epar.Od. Thivas - Thermopilon. The center will be on your right.

  • Bicycle

    If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the local shops in Lamia. Start from the center and cycle down 25 Martiou street towards Epar.Od. Thivas - Thermopilon. Continue straight for about 2 kilometers. Keep an eye out for the museum on your right. There are bike racks available outside the center for you to secure your bicycle.
