Bus
From the center of Meteora, head to the main bus station located near Kalambaka. You can walk there in about 15-20 minutes by following the main road towards the west. Once at the bus station, look for the bus heading to Metsovo. The journey should take about 30-40 minutes. After arriving in Metsovo, follow the signs towards Aoos Springs Dam, which is approximately a 15-minute walk from the bus stop.
Walking
If you are starting from the town of Kalambaka, you can walk to Aoos Springs Dam directly, although it will take approximately 2-3 hours. Start by heading west towards the main road (E92). Follow the road as it leads you through scenic landscapes. Once you reach Metsovo, continue following the signs towards the dam. Make sure to wear comfortable walking shoes and carry water as the route can be steep.
Bicycle Rental
For a more active approach, consider renting a bicycle from one of the shops in Kalambaka. Once you have your bike, take the E92 road towards Metsovo. This route is approximately 22 km and offers beautiful views of the surrounding area. It should take about 1-1.5 hours depending on your cycling pace. After reaching Metsovo, follow the signs to Aoos Springs Dam, which is about a 15-minute bike ride from the town center.
