Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting from the center of Kalampaka, head east on Trikalon Street (Οδός Τρικάλων) towards the train station. Continue straight until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Meteora Road (Οδός Μετεώρων). Follow this road for about 2 kilometers. You will see signs leading to the Holy Monastery of Saint Stephen. As you approach, you will need to walk up a path that leads to the monastery entrance. The entire walk should take you approximately 30-40 minutes, depending on your pace.

• Bus

  From Kalampaka, you can take a local bus that operates towards the monasteries. Head to the Kalampaka bus station located near the city center. Look for the bus that has a sign indicating 'Meteora' or 'Monasteries'. The bus will take you close to the Holy Monastery of Saint Stephen. Make sure to check the bus schedule ahead of time, as services may vary. The ride typically lasts about 10-15 minutes, and from the bus stop, it is a short walk to the monastery.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in Kalampaka. After renting your bike, head east on Trikalon Street and follow the same route as the walking instructions. Biking to the Holy Monastery of Saint Stephen is an enjoyable option, taking about 15-20 minutes. Remember to wear a helmet and be cautious while cycling on the roads.
