Walking
The Church of Elkomenos Christos is located in the Kato Poli (lower town) of Monemvasia. From the main gate entering the Kastro (castle town), follow the main street towards the central square. The church is situated on the left side of the square, near the cannon. The entire lower town is pedestrianized, so walking is the only way to reach it. Allow approximately 5-10 minutes to walk from the entrance gate to the church.
Public Transport
If arriving by bus to Monemvasia's modern town (Gefyra), you will need to either take a taxi or the local shuttle bus to the entrance of the Kastro. From there, follow the walking directions. The shuttle bus costs €1.10. Taxis from Gefyra to the Kastro gate cost approximately €4.
