    Chora is best explored on foot due to its pedestrian-friendly streets. From Fabrika bus station, walk north towards the waterfront, following the main road. Turn left onto Matoyianni Street, the main commercial street, and wander through the labyrinthine alleys. Landmarks like the windmills and Little Venice are within easy walking distance. Note that the area can get crowded, especially during peak season.

  • Public Transport

    If arriving at Mykonos Airport (JMK), take the KTEL bus to Fabrika bus station in Chora. Buses run frequently during the high season, approximately every 30-60 minutes, from 08:15 am to 10:15 pm. The journey takes about 15-20 minutes. A single ticket costs between €1.50 and €2.50, payable in cash to the driver. From Fabrika, it's a short walk to the heart of Chora. Alternatively, from the New Port, take the bus to the Old Port, which is a 15-20 minute walk to Fabrika. The bus from the New Port to Mykonos Old Port costs €2.

  • Taxi

    Taxis are available at Mykonos Airport (JMK) and the New Port. A taxi ride from the airport to Chora typically costs €17-€22 during the day and €22 at night. From the New Port to Chora, expect to pay €18-€22. The journey takes approximately 10 minutes from the airport and 5 minutes from the New Port. Note that taxis are limited, especially during peak season, so waits can be long. There is an extra charge of €2.85 for airport rides and €1.07 for port transfers. Luggage heavier than 10kg is charged €0.40 per piece.
