Getting There

• Walking

  From the center of Nafplio, start at Syntagma Square. Head northwest towards Spiliou Vasileiou Street and continue straight until you reach the intersection with Asklipiou Street. Turn left on Asklipiou and follow it until you reach the bus station. From the bus station, take the KTEL bus to Stymfalia. The bus ride will take about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Stymfalia, head towards Lake Stymphalia by walking straight until you see signs for the lake, which is about a 15-minute walk from the bus stop.

• Bicycle Rental

  Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Nafplio, such as 'Nafplio Bike Rental'. From the shop, head towards the port area and follow the coastal road out of Nafplio. Continue cycling towards the direction of the hills; the route will lead you towards Stymfalia. The distance is approximately 20 km, so ensure you are prepared for a longer ride. Follow the signs for Stymfalia, and upon arrival, you will find the lake nearby.

The ride will take approximately 25-30 minutes, depending on traffic. Ensure to communicate clearly that your destination is Lake Stymphalia, as some drivers might be more familiar with the lake rather than the address.

  Walk to the main bus station in Nafplio, located near the old town. Look for the KTEL bus that goes towards Tripoli. Inform the driver that you would like to stop at Stymfalia. The bus will make a stop in Stymfalia, and from there, you can walk to the lake which is approximately a 15-minute walk from the bus stop.
