Walking
From Syntagma Square in Nafplio's Old Town, head north towards the Church of Agios Spyridon. Continue along the winding streets, following signs for Akronafplia. The walk involves a gradual incline and some steps. Alternatively, from the Catholic Church, ascend the 'dromoskala' (staircase) leading to the Castle of Toroni gate. The walk offers scenic views of the town and the Gulf of Arvanitia. Note that there are approximately 912 steps to the main entrance. Walking is free.

Local buses in Nafplio may offer limited service to Akronafplia. Check local schedules for routes and stops near Staikopoulos Park. From the park, it's a short walk to the entrance of Akronafplia. Parking costs vary, but expect to pay around €3-€5 per hour in central Nafplio.
