Getting There

• Train

  To reach the Stalactite Cave in Diakopto from Patras, start by heading to the Patras Train Station (Σιδηροδρομικός Σταθμός Πάτρας). You can walk there from the city center, which is about a 15-minute walk. Once at the station, purchase a ticket for the train heading towards Diakopto. The train ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you disembark at Diakopto Station, exit the station and head east on K. Karamanli Street towards the coast. The Stalactite Cave is about a 15-minute walk from the station, located on a hillside.

• Bus

  From the center of Patras, walk to the main bus terminal at Kifisou Street. Look for buses heading towards Diakopto (check the schedule for bus times). The bus ride will take about 40 minutes. After arriving at the Diakopto bus terminal, walk east along K. Karamanli Street toward the coast. The Stalactite Cave is situated on a hillside and is approximately a 15-minute walk from the bus station.

• Taxi

  If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from any location in Patras to the Stalactite Cave in Diakopto. Inform the driver of your destination, and the ride will take about 30 minutes, depending on traffic. This option is ideal if you are traveling in a group or carrying heavy items.

• Walking

  If you are near the coast of Patras, you can enjoy a scenic walk along the waterfront towards Diakopto. It is approximately a 15-kilometer distance, which may take around 3 hours. Head east along the coast until you reach Diakopto, then follow the signs leading to the Stalactite Cave.
