Terry was both a fantastic guide and driver for our tour of Greece. Our family learned so much from his knowledge and guides at the sites. Our tour went from Athens, Ancient Corinth/Corinth, Nafplio, Delphi, Meteroa, Thessaloniki, and Kamena Vourla. The pacing of the trip was great. Our favorite areas turned out to be Thessaloniki and Delphi. We have newfound appreciation and understanding of this amazing country.

Private Day Trip to Ancient Messene from Kalamata (Price per Group)

If you like archaeological sites, don't miss this. No idea why it isn't better known, alongside Olympia, Epidavros and Mycenae. Ancient town founded 397 BC - you enter and see it all spread out along the valley. We almost had it to ourselves but did come across one or two other visitors. Recommend allowing two hours to see the site. It's 50 minutes by car from Kalamata. You can get an excursion but only in the high season. There is no restaurant at the site so take water and snacks. The museum is in the nearby village where you can also get a meal.

Absolutely 100% satisfied with the service. Easy to book, there were continual updates by the company and the extremely pleasant driver Serge was waiting ahead of time for me at my arrival. He could not park right at my hotel but gave me clear instructions on how to reach it.
