Known locally as "Vrysakia" (the taps), it is located in Platanou Square, which was the center of the town during Venetian rule.The fountain's design showcases delicate Venetian architectural details. Three lion heads spout water into three basins, set beneath Corinthian columns adorned with a Latin inscription. The words “LIBERALITATIS” and “FONTES” (fountains of generosity) are carved above the columns. During the Ottoman era, a dome was added, a common practice for the Ottomans, though only a pillar survives today. The fountain continues to flow, offering visitors a glimpse into the past.Legend says that drinking from the Rimondi Fountain ensures eternal youth. The square surrounding the fountain is a vibrant hub with cafes and shops, inviting visitors to relax and soak in the atmosphere.
