Saint Nectarios Church: A Faliraki Spiritual Landmark

Saint Nectarios Church, located in Faliraki, is a notable example of Greek Orthodox architecture and a place of spiritual significance. Named after Saint Nectarios of Aegina, a contemporary saint of the Eastern Orthodox Church (1846-1920), the church was completed in 1980. Saint Nectarios was known as a miracle worker and a popular figure in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.The church's architecture features a classic Eastern Orthodox design, with colorful roofs adorned with embellished tiles, high ceilings, and an arched tower. The bell tower, standing 19 meters high, is made of reinforced concrete lined with Finta stone, matching the church's exterior. It houses four electric bells. Inside, visitors can admire stunning icons and religious artifacts that reflect the Greek Orthodox faith.
