While maintaining its traditional Cycladic architectural style, the airport now features modern amenities, including updated check-in counters,duty-free shops, restaurants, ATMs, and car rental agencies. Despite these improvements, the airport can get crowded during peak season, so arriving early is recommended.As the eighth busiest airport in Greece, Santorini Airport serves both domestic and international flights. During the summer, it welcomes numerous direct flights and charters from European airports. The airport also functions as a military airbase. Arriving at Santorini Airport is the first step in experiencing the island's breathtaking landscapes, unique culture, and unforgettable sunsets.

Public Transport
To reach Fira, the main town, take the KTEL bus located just outside the arrival area. Buses depart approximately every hour, with more frequent departures during the high season. The journey to Fira takes about 25 minutes. From Fira, connect to other destinations on the island. A single ticket to Fira costs around €2.
Taxi
Taxis are available outside the arrivals hall. A taxi to Fira typically costs between €30-€35 during the day, with fares potentially increasing at night. Confirm the fare with the driver before starting your journey. Note that taxis are limited on the island, so there may be a queue.
