A Tranquil Tribute: Protomí Dimitaríu Memorial Park

Getting There

• Walking

  If you're in the city center of Serres, start at the central square, known as Plateia Eleftherias. From there, head towards Egnatia Odos (the main road), which is just a short walk away. Once you reach Egnatia Odos, turn left and continue walking. After about 500 meters, you will see a sign for the Memorial Park (Προτομή Δημητρίου Μισυρλή) on your right. Follow the path into the park, and you will find the statue of Δημητρίου Μισυρλή, which is located at the center of the park.

• Bus

  From the central bus station in Serres, take a local bus heading towards Egnatia Odos. Once you're on the bus, inform the driver that you want to get off at the stop for the Memorial Park (Προτομή Δημητρίου Μισυρλή). The journey will take approximately 10-15 minutes. After getting off, walk a short distance into the park, where you will find the statue.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer biking, rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in the city center. Begin your ride towards the Egnatia Odos, which is easily accessible from most parts of Serres. Once you reach Egnatia Odos, turn left and cycle for about 1 kilometer. Keep an eye out for the signs directing you to the Memorial Park (Προτομή Δημητρίου Μισυρλή), which will be on your right. Park your bicycle at the entrance and walk to the statue located in the heart of the park.
