The Memorial Park in Palio Mikro Chorio stands as a solemn tribute to the lives lost in the catastrophic landslide of January 13, 1963. This natural disaster forever altered the landscape and the lives of the villagers. After 13 days of continuous rain, a significant portion of Mount Kri collapsed, burying a large part of Mikro Chorio and claiming the lives of thirteen locals. Today, the memorial park offers a space for reflection and remembrance. A monument at the entrance of Palio Mikro Chorio lists the names of the victims. Close to the monument, a dirt road leads to a lake that was formed as a result of the landslide, its serene waters reflecting the surrounding beauty and the somber history of the site. Willows and plane trees adorn the shore, creating a peaceful setting. The park serves as a starting point for trails leading to Mount Helidona. Palio Mikro Chorio itself is a village that stands out for its traditional architecture and old fountains in the main square. The village provides access to the Velouhi ski center.
