Discover more about Sunnyside Garden

Sunnyside Garden, perched on a hill in St. Paul's, just east of St. George's, offers a tranquil escape with panoramic views of the Caribbean Sea and Atlantic Ocean. This five-acre garden is a testament to the passion and dedication of its creators, Jean and Robin Renwick, whose family home, faithfully restored after Hurricane Ivan in 2004, sits at its heart. Originally landscaped in the early 1990s, the garden boasts a diverse collection of plants, from lipstick palms and neem trees to koi ponds and tilapia. Red-footed tortoises and South American parrots add to the vibrant atmosphere. The garden's design incorporates island beds, tropical grasses, and a variety of flowering plants like hibiscus and bromeliads. Randy, Jean's son, now manages the garden, welcoming visitors to explore its winding paths and discover its hidden treasures. The garden suffered significant damage during Hurricane Ivan, but Jean and her family worked tirelessly to restore it to its former glory. Today, Sunnyside Garden is a testament to the resilience of nature and the enduring power of love and dedication.
