Triangle Park: Hagåtña's Serene Oasis

Triangle Park, also known as Tutuhan Park, is a delightful urban park located in Hagåtña, Guam. Its triangular shape, from which it gets one of its names, is due to its location at the fork where San Ramon Hill diverges from Pale' Kiernan Drive. Built in 2002 and funded by the A.B. Won Pat Guam International Airport Authority, the park provides a serene retreat from the bustling city. The park features well-maintained pathways that wind through lush tropical plants, inviting visitors to explore its every corner. Shaded areas and benches offer spots to relax and soak in the natural beauty. The park often hosts community gatherings and cultural events, providing a glimpse into Guam's traditions. It's a place where one can escape the heat, enjoy fresh air, and connect with the local community. Historically, the area now occupied by Agana Heights was farmland for residents of Hagåtña. Some village elders say that the place name Tutujan is derived from the Chamorro word “tutuhon” which means 'to begin,' 'start,' or 'set out'. The park itself can be reserved for private functions through the Agana Heights mayor's office for a small fee.
