The Fish Eye Underwater Observatory, situated in the heart of the Piti Bay Marine Preserve, offers a unique and immersive experience into Guam's underwater world. To reach the observatory, visitors stroll along a 900-foot (300m) ocean bridge that extends over the crystal-clear waters of Piti Bay. The bridge itself offers stunning views of the surrounding marine environment, with emerald and blue hues creating a breathtaking panorama. The upper deck of the observatory provides 360-degree views of the ocean, coral reefs, outer barrier reef, and Guam's majestic mountains. Descending into the underwater chamber via a spiral staircase (72 steps), guests are greeted by 24 viewing windows (16 rectangular and 8 round) offering a 360-degree perspective of the underwater landscape. Located approximately 20 feet (6m) below the surface, these windows provide a close-up look at the diverse array of marine life that inhabits the Piti Bay Marine Preserve. Over 200 species of tropical fish and 80 varieties of coral thrive in this protected environment. Divers frequently visit the area, attracting even more marine life to the observatory. The observatory's structure also acts as an artificial reef, providing shelter and habitat for various species. In addition to the underwater observatory, Fish Eye Marine Park offers other attractions and activities, including a coconut experience, cultural immersion programs, snorkeling tours, and dolphin watching cruises.
