Discover more about Two Lover’s Point

Two Lover's Point is one of Guam's most iconic and visited landmarks. The site presents a breathtaking panorama of Tumon Bay and the Philippine Sea from atop a seaside cliff. The location derives its name from a poignant Chamorro legend. The most popular version tells of a beautiful young woman, daughter of a Spanish businessman and a Chamorro chief's daughter, who falls in love with a Chamorro man. Her father arranges her marriage to a Spanish captain, leading the lovers to flee. Cornered at the cliff, they tie their hair together and leap to their deaths rather than be separated. Today, Two Lover's Point attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors annually. The park features tiered lookout points providing sweeping views. Visitors can explore the Heart Lock Wall, where couples pledge their love, and ring the Love Bell, a gift from Izu, Japan. The site also includes a gift shop with local art and souvenirs, and a restaurant, Terraza Dos Amantes, where visitors can dine with a view. While at Two Lover's Point, take time to appreciate the statue of the two lovers that stands near the entrance of the park. The statue has its own interesting story, having been toppled by a typhoon in 2002 and later recovered from a scrapyard and restored. The landmark serves as a reminder of eternal love and Guam's rich culture.
