Discover more about Cetti Bay

Cetti Bay is more than just a scenic spot; it's a journey through time. Located near the village of Humåtak, this bay has witnessed thousands of years of Guam's history. The coastal area was inhabited by Chamorros for approximately 3,000 years, as evidenced by latte stones and pottery shards found in the area. The ancient village of Jati once thrived near the bay's north shore. The Spanish recognized the strategic importance of Cetti Bay, building a road system that connected Hagåtña to Humåtak, passing through Cetti. Today, the bay and its surrounding foothills are part of Guam's Territorial Seashore Park, offering stunning views of volcanic rock formations, including the pillow lava formations of Attelong Acho (Black Rock) to the north. In the distance, you can see Cocos Island off the coast of Malesso'/Merizo village. Visitors can explore the bay's vibrant underwater ecosystems through snorkeling or hike the trails that offer panoramic views. The slopes surrounding Cetti Bay are covered with grassland, savanna, and coconut trees, with a ravine forest hiding Cetti Falls. Cetti Bay is a reminder of Guam's rich cultural heritage and natural beauty.
