Public Transport

From central locations like Tumon Bay, take the Guam Public Transit Authority (GRTA) bus route that heads south towards Merizo. Board the bus at the nearest bus stop. The bus will travel along Marine Corps Drive (Route 1). Inform the driver you wish to stop near Merizo Pier. The bus fare is approximately $1.00 per ride, or $3.00 for a day pass. From the bus stop, it is a short walk to the pier.

For a direct route to Merizo Pier, use a taxi or ride-sharing service like Uber or Lyft. Input 'Merizo Pier, Malesso', Guam' into the app. The fare from locations in Fonte Plateau typically ranges from $20 to $30, but this can vary depending on the distance and demand.

Driving

From areas north of Merizo, head south on Route 1 (Marine Corps Drive). Continue until you reach Route 4, then follow Route 4 south. As you approach Malesso', look for signs directing you to Merizo Pier. Turn right to enter the parking area for the pier. Parking is available and free.

From the pier, you can observe Cocos Island in its full length from east to west. Guided tours to Cocos Island Resort depart from the docks at Merizo.Beyond the pier, Merizo offers a glimpse into Guam's rich history and culture. The village is known for its Chamorro traditions, which are showcased during the annual Merizo Fiesta.
