Discover more about Cetti Bay Overlook

Cetti Bay Overlook is a popular scenic point on Guam's southwest coast, offering stunning views of Cetti Bay and the surrounding landscape. As part of Guam’s Territorial Seashore Park, the overlook provides a window into the island's volcanic origins, with views of the pillow lava formations of Attelong Acho, or Black Rock, to the north. In the distance, you can spot Cocos Island off the coast of Malesso'/Merizo village to the south. The area holds historical and cultural significance, with evidence of Chamorro habitation dating back 3,000 years. Latte stones and pottery shards have been found in the area. The Spanish later established a road system that ran through Cetti, connecting Hagåtña with Humåtak. The slopes around the bay are covered in grassland, savanna, coconut trees, and a ravine forest that hides Cetti Falls. From the overlook, you can appreciate the unique geological formations and the vast expanse of the Philippine Sea. The twin hills of Attelong Acho are examples of pillow lava formed underwater during ancient volcanic eruptions. Cetti Bay itself is on Guam's and the National Register of Historic Places.
