Walking
From the central park (Parque Central) in Antigua Guatemala, head northwest on 5a Avenida Norte towards 2a Calle Poniente. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with 6a Avenida Norte. From there, take a left onto 6a Avenida Norte and walk straight until you reach the bus terminal (Terminal de Buses). Once at the terminal, look for a bus heading to Panajachel, which is the closest town to Volcán Atitlán. The bus ride will take approximately 2-3 hours. When you arrive in Panajachel, you can take a boat or a tuk-tuk to the base of Volcán Atitlán, where hiking options are available.

Tuk-Tuk
Starting from the Antigua Guatemala central park (Parque Central), find a tuk-tuk driver nearby. Tell them you want to go to the bus terminal (Terminal de Buses) to catch a bus to Panajachel. The ride should take about 5-10 minutes. Once you arrive at the terminal, purchase a ticket for the bus to Panajachel. After a journey of about 2-3 hours, you will arrive in Panajachel. From there, you can either take a tuk-tuk to the foot of Volcán Atitlán or hire a boat to get closer to the volcano's hiking paths.

Once you secure a spot, the shuttle will pick you up from your accommodation. The journey to Panajachel takes about 2-3 hours.
