Car
If you are driving from Puerto Barrios, head southwest on CA-9 for about 1 hour and 30 minutes. Continue on CA-9 until you reach the junction with the road to Punta Gorda, Belize. Follow the signs for 'Punta Gorda' and take the left turn onto the road leading into Belize. Ensure you have your passport and any necessary documentation ready for border control. After crossing the border, continue straight for approximately 28 kilometers until you reach Punta Gorda. Once in Punta Gorda, turn left onto Wilson Road, and follow the road until you see the entrance to Copal Tree Lodge.

Public Transportation
To reach Copal Tree Lodge using public transportation, first take a bus from Puerto Barrios to Morales. Buses to Morales leave frequently from the main bus terminal. Once you arrive in Morales, transfer to a bus heading to the border with Belize. After crossing the border, catch a local bus to Punta Gorda. In Punta Gorda, you may need to take a taxi or walk to Wilson Road. The taxi ride should take around 10 minutes. Be aware of potential costs: bus fares from Puerto Barrios to Morales are approximately 20 quetzals, while the border crossing may have a small fee, and the taxi to the lodge could cost around 50 quetzals.
