Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start your journey from Belize City. Head south on the Southern Highway (Hwy 1) toward Punta Gorda. The drive will take approximately 3 to 4 hours, depending on traffic. As you approach Punta Gorda, look for the signs directing you to Joe Taylor Creek. Turn off the Southern Highway onto Joe Taylor Creek Road. Continue on this road until you reach Garbutt's Fishing Lodge, located at 4652+V9F, Joe Taylor Creek, Punta Gorda, Hopeville.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transport, take a bus from Belize City to Punta Gorda. Buses leave regularly from the Belize City bus terminal, and the journey typically takes around 4 to 5 hours. Once you arrive in Punta Gorda, you can either take a taxi or find a local shuttle service to Garbutt's Fishing Lodge. Inform the driver to take you to Joe Taylor Creek, and they should be familiar with the location. Expect to pay around $10 to $20 BZD for the taxi or shuttle ride.
