Car

From your location in the Caribbean Coast, head towards the town of Puerto Barrios. Take the CA-9 road southbound towards Guatemala City. Follow the signs for 'Antigua' as you approach the city. Once you reach the outskirts of Antigua, keep an eye out for '1a. Avenida Sur'. You will turn right onto 1a. Avenida Sur, and your destination, Maxán, will be on your right. Make sure to check for parking availability nearby.

Public Transportation

If you are using public transport, catch a bus or shuttle from Puerto Barrios heading to Guatemala City. The ticket costs around Q50 (Quetzals) and the journey takes approximately 5-6 hours. Once in Guatemala City, transfer to a bus heading to Antigua (costing around Q20). In Antigua, ask for directions to '1a. Avenida Sur 8'. Maxán is located in this area, and you can either walk or take a tuk-tuk for a short distance.

Taxi or Rideshare

For a more direct route, consider using a taxi or rideshare service. From your location in the Caribbean Coast, you can book a ride to Maxán directly. The fare will vary depending on your starting point, but expect to pay around Q250 to Q300 for the trip.
