Getting There

Car
If you are driving from Puerto Barrios, take the CA-9 highway heading south. After approximately 25 kilometers, turn right onto the road towards Morales. Continue on this road for about 15 kilometers until you reach a fork. Take the left fork that leads to Punta de Manabique. Follow the signs for Punta de Manabique, and after about 10 more kilometers, you will arrive at the entrance to the peninsula. Note that the roads can be unpaved in sections, so a 4x4 vehicle is recommended.

From Puerto Barrios, head to the local bus terminal and take a bus heading towards Morales. The fare is typically around 10-15 GTQ. Once you reach Morales, you may need to take a taxi to the entrance of Punta de Manabique, as public buses do not run directly there.
