    From Parque Central in Flores, walk northwest on Calle 30 de junio until you reach Avenida 5 de febrero. Turn left and walk until you reach the bridge connecting Flores to the mainland. Cross the bridge and continue onto Carr. a San Miguel. After 1.5km, look for signs to Petencito Zoo on the right. It's a short walk from the main road.

    From Flores, go to the bus terminal near the bridge. Take a bus or 'pick-up' heading to San Miguel for approximately Q5. Ask the driver to stop at Petencito Zoo. From the drop-off point, walk a short distance to the zoo entrance.

Petencito Zoo, officially known as Centro de Educación Ambiental y Vida Silvestre (CEAVS), is a public zoological park located near Flores, in the Petén region of Guatemala. The zoo was created in 1979 by the Empresa de Fomento y Desarrollo de Petén (FYDEP) to house confiscated regional wildlife. In 1992, it was ceded to the Universidad de San Carlos de Guatemala.
