From Guatemala City, take the Transmetro Line 12 towards CENMA. From CENMA, board a bus to San Vicente Pacaya or Escuintla, and ask to be dropped off at the San Vicente Pacaya intersection. From there, take a microbus towards Calderas or San Francisco, or walk 4 kilometers to the visitor center. Bus fares within Guatemala City are around Q1.00-Q5.00. The bus from Guatemala City to San Vicente Pacaya is approximately Q15-Q25.

From Antigua, a taxi to San Vicente Pacaya takes approximately 44 minutes and costs between $25-$31. Taxis can be found throughout Antigua, or can be arranged through your hotel or hostel.

From Guatemala City, take the CA-9 highway south. At kilometer 36.5, turn left towards San Vicente Pacaya. Follow the road until you reach the village of San Francisco de Sales, where you'll find the visitor center. Parking near the visitor center costs approximately Q30.
