From the Pacaya Volcano National Park entrance, Tercera Parada is approximately a 2.5 km hike up the trail. The hike typically takes 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on your pace. Follow the marked paths, and you'll be rewarded with stunning views along the way.

Public Transport

To reach Tercera Parada via public transport, take a bus from Guatemala City to San Vicente Pacaya. Once in San Vicente Pacaya, you can either walk to the Pacaya Volcano National Park entrance (about 1 km from the bus stop) or hire a local tuk-tuk for approximately 20 Q. From the park entrance, it's a 2.5 km hike to Tercera Parada.

Car

If driving, make your way to San Vicente Pacaya. From the town center, follow signs directing you to Pacaya Volcano National Park. Drive along the main road towards the park entrance, approximately 5 km away. Parking is available for a nominal fee of around 10 Q. From the parking area, hike 2.5 km to Tercera Parada.
