Getting There

    If you are driving from the center of Huehuetenango, head northwest on Calle Principal towards Avenida 3. After about 1 kilometer, turn left onto Avenida 1 and continue for approximately 2 kilometers. You will reach a roundabout; take the second exit onto Ruta 9. Continue for about 8 kilometers until you see a sign for Arenales. Turn right onto the dirt road that leads to Arenales. Please note that the last part of the road may be unpaved and requires cautious driving.

    To reach Arenales via public transportation, first find the main bus terminal in Huehuetenango. Look for buses heading towards 'San Juan Ixcoy' or 'Xuchitepeque'.
